Fire crew aids man at scene of blaze

A MAN was given oxygen therapy by a fire crew, after a fall at Belton on New Year’s Day morning.

The fire service was alerted to a hedgerow on fire at High Street, Belton, at around 11.30am.

Power cables and telephone wires were also damaged in the blaze.

The man, who had fallen from a ladder, was taken to hospital for a precautionary check-up following the incident.
