A FAMILY will step out together on Sunday, in a sponsored bid to buy a headstone for their lost baby.

Eight months after baby twin Samuel Attree was stillborn, his parents will link with family and friends for a sponsored walk and bike ride from Manvers Lake.

Kelly Attree, 36, of Windhill Crescent, Mexborough, said she and husband Tom hope to raise a final £300 to buy the granite headstone for Samuel.

She explained: “It was terrible to lose Samuel as we did. His twin sister Bliss was born without any problems and is doing well.

“We managed to raise a small amount of money towards Samuel’s headstone but still have a way to go, and we would like it to be in place on his grave in Mexborough cemetery before his first birthday.”

Their event, that includes about 20 family and friends, takes place on Sunday from 11am to 3pm.

Kelly and Tom’s children Isabelle, seven, Thomas 12, and Kai 14 will all be involved.

Anyone who would like to support the family, should contact 07715 316838
