Electrical fault sparks blaze

AN ELECTRICAL fault sparked a blaze in the cellar of a Mexborough home.

Firefighters from Dearne station were called to the scene at York Street at 4.30am on Monday.

They spent an hour at the scene clearing smoke from the cellar.

No-one required medical treatment.

The cause of fire was accidental.
