Drivers warned to be careful

three vans have been reported stolen in Doncaster this week after they were left unattended while drivers made deliveries.

Police officers are urging drivers to be wary of opportunist thieves.

Chris Singleton, force lead on car crime, said: “It may be tempting to leave a car or van running whilst making a quick delivery but this makes the car vulnerable. If the vehicle is stolen, you may face disciplinary action from your employer and lose the right to make an insurance claim as leaving the keys in the ignition could invalidate the insurance.”
