Doncaster man killed on railway line named as Scott Dobson

A DONCASTER railway worker killed after being hit by a train has been named.

Scott Dobson, 26, of Stainforth, was officialy named today by British Transport Police, following the incident at Saxilby in Lincolnshire on Tuesday - which happened just 90 minutes after youngster Emma Lifsey was fatally injured after a train collided with the car she was in on a level crossing at Misson Springs.

Mr Dobson had already been named on various social media websites and tribute groups set up in his memory.

The Network Rail employee was believed to have been working on the track near to Saxilby station when he was hit shortly before 2pm on Tuesday.

Investigations are ongoing into what happened.
