Crowle councillors question validity of youth service shake-up

THE quality of consultation over proposed changes to youth service provision in North Lincolnshire has been called into question by Crowle town councillors.

They say the research is flawed and contains unexplained anomalies, with errors in the maths and questions reported as having been asked in questionnaire being different from the ones that were actually put.

And in one case there appeared to be 321 responses after just 317 questionnaires had been sent out, deputy mayor Coun Paul McCartan told a meeting of Crowle and Ealand Town Council last night.

“Information in the document just doesn’t tally,” he said. “We have concerns about this process.”

Councillors are so concerned about what’s going on, in a process which could cost up to 150 jobs, that they have asked their North Lincolnshire Council ward representative Coun Trevor Barker to raise concerns when the matter comes before North Lincolnshire’s full council meeting next Tuesday.
