Residents are being warned about the dangers of illegal money lending as Doncaster Council cracks down on loan sharks this Christmas.

Doncaster Council has teamed up with England Illegal Money Lending Team after 20 per cent of victims nationally said they borrowed originally to pay for the festive season.

Members of the public are being told that no matter how desperate people become loan sharks are never the answer.
