The following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court charged with the following offences

n edlington: A teenager has been made the subject of a community order after admitting beating a woman. Adam Hodgetts, 18, of Grace Road admitted the assault that took place on November 13 and was made the subject of a drink banning order for nine months as part of his punishment. Hodgetts was also ordered to pay £85 in compensation and £85 in court costs.

n tickhill: A thief with champagne tastes and lemonade pockets has been ordered to stump up £100 after stealing two bottles of bubbly. Steven William McEwan, 36, of Orange Croft, was also ordered to comply with a three week curfew after pleading guilty to taking £100 of champagne from Marks and Spencer on January 12.

n intake: Causing criminal damage to a window resulted in a man receiving a £335 bill and a conditional discharge. Darrel Craig Beardmore, 29, of Abercorn Road, admitted damaging the window at Markham Main Officials Club on January 8.

n hyde PARK: A sweet thief was left with a sour taste in his mouth after he was ordered to comply with a curfew and pay £85 court costs. John Conner, 57, of St James’ Street, admitted stealing a carton of orange juice and a packet of Mars Bars from Tesco on January 16. Conner must wear an electronic tag for two weeks as part of his punishment.

n bentley: A thief has been made the subject of a community order. Shane Lee Granger, 18, of The Avenue, admitted stealing a black tool box on December 27. He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs as part of his punishment.

n edlington: A drink driver has been disqualified from holding a licence for a year and ordered to pay £300. Sean David Larner, 22, of Ashcroft Close, pleaded guilty to being over the limit whilst driving along Windmill Balk Lane on September 17.
