Court round-up

THE following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with the following offences.

HEXTHORPE: A 51-year-old has admitted to being drunk and disorderly in the town centre after he was caught on November 14. Steven Murray, of Burden Close, was discharged conditionally for six months and was told to pay £15 in court costs following the offence in Thorne Road.

DUNSCROFT: A copper cable thief must carry out 100 hours unpaid work. Anthony Smith, 24, pleaded guilty to taking £2,500 worth of cable belonging to an electrical firm in Doncaster. Smith, of York Road, must attend a Thinking Skills programme for 19 days and had to pay £140 in costs for the November 2 offence.

DUNSCROFT: A woman who stole toiletries was ordered to pay back compensation to the shop she targeted. Tina Marie Rattigan, 30, of Southend, admitted taking the items, worth a total of £33, from a Londis store in the village on August 27.

CANTLEY: Being caught with a Class B drug has landed a teenager in trouble. Dale Anderton, of Goodison Boulevard, pleaded guilty to having M-Cat on him on September 27. He also admitted tresspassing in the village and stealing a bike and gardening tools on the same day. Anderton must carry out 120 hours unpaid work under supervision and was ordered to pay £85 costs.

WHEATLEY: Paulius Salavicius, 25, of Queens Road, received a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to taking £2.58 worth of food and alcohol from Home Bargains on Novembr 14.
