THE following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with the following offences.
BENTLEY: A costly punishment must have cut Dominic Tasker to the core after he took an Apple iPad and Acer laptop. The 21-year-old of Balfour Road, was found to have handled stolen goods worth nearly £800 and pleaded guilty to the July 18 offence. He was fined £75 and ordered to pay £100 in costs.
BESSACARR: Kyle Harris failed to get away with abusing the system when he was punished for possession of a Class B drug. The 26-year-old from Stoops Lane, admitted having 456 milligrams of mephedrone on him on May 25. Harris received a six month conditional discharge and had to fork out £85 in costs.
DUNSCROFT: A teenage girl was given community service after admitting beating a man. Nicole Louise Day, 19, of Hampton Road, was ordered to complete a ten sessions of the women offenders’ programme, pay £100 compensation to her victim and costs of £85 following the offence on June 26.
DUNSCROFT: A 21-year-old had one heck of a freight when he was left £350 out of pocket for trespassing whilst drunk at Doncaster railway station and being disruptive. Simon Ashleigh Turner, of Craven Road, admitted the April 25 incident and was discharged conditionally for 12 months. He was ordered to pay £150 compensation and costs of £200.
HEXTHORPE: The reputation of James Carl Cawkwell could be on the rocks after he admitted stealing bottles of whisky. The 30-year-old, of Old Hexthorpe, took the Glenfiddich whisky and two miniature whisky sets worth £60 from an Asda supermarket on June 18. He received a 12-month conditional discharge and had to pay costs of £85.
HEXTHORPE: Fraudster Neven Dean Shaw was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work after pleading guilty to dishonestly making a false representation to get a VW Passat vehicle. The 42-year-old, of Sheardown Street, used a cheque from a business account which did not have enough funds in order to make a gain of £5,500 for himself on June 12, the courts concluded. Shaw had to pay £85 costs.
MEXBOROUGH: Mathew Neil Holt may not have a smashing time paying out nearly £300 after damaging a window in a property in West Road. The 22-year-old of Main Street, was discharged conditionally for 12 months. Holt also had to pay £200 compensation and £85 costs.
SCAWTHORPE: A 25-year-old was caught driving a sports car without a full licence. The courts proved in the absence of Richard Alexander Roberts, Stonehill Rise, that he was driving an MG ZR along Bank Street, Mexborough, with only a provisional licence, unsupervised and without L plates in the early hours of May 5. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and had six points put on his licence.
WOODLANDS: Elizabeth Cullen will have to make sure she does not bottle out of alcohol treatment having been caught drunk in a pubic place on two separate occasions despite an anti-social behaviour order. Cullen, 30, of Princess Street, admitted to both the June 21 and July 10 offences and was ordered to attend the detox programme for nine months.
