Counterfeit clothing case

A Doncaster man has been jailed for selling counterfeit-branded clothes over the internet.

Adrian Lindley, 46, of Varsity Close, Lindholme, pleaded guilty to five specimen charges of offences under the Trademarks Act (1994).

He was sentenced to six months imprisonment for each offence, with the sentences to run concurrently.

An order was made for the forfeiture of his 1,300 items, which will be recycled. Lindley had run a fashion clothing business for several years, but had recently started to sell clothing bearing trademarks of music artists.
