Coffee and cakes helped make for a fundraising success

HELPING to make it a roaring success were organisers of a Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in Keadby.

The event took place in the village’s church hall and included tea and cakes, as well as a tombola.

A total of £110 was raised on the day, £10 of this was donated to the church hall for use of ist facilities, and the remainder was handed over to the cancer charity.

Organiser Natalie Whitlam explained that friend Toni Broadbent got involved in some fundraising of her own by geetting sponsored for dressing up in a tiger costume.

“It was a great day,” said Natalie. “It was steady all day, people kept coming.”
