Cigarette caused bin fire
A DISCARDED cigarette may have caused a fire in an bin outside a Chinese takeaway in Elsecar.
Firefighters from Tankersley Station spent nearly 30 minutes tackling the blaze after being called to the scene on Cobcar Lane at 2am on Friday. A brigade spokeswoman said it is believed the fire was started by a burning cigarette end.
