A DONCASTER burglar has been sentenced to four years behind bars for stealing cash, jewellery and perfume.

Liam Jackson, of Dryden Road, Balby, was jailed for two burglaries and one attempted burglary at Doncaster Crown Court this week.

The burglaries took place in the Woodfield Plantation area of Balby.

PC Kelly said: “South Yorkshire Police take offences of burglary extremely seriously and we will do everything we can to prevent and detect burglaries. I would strongly urge the public to always make sure their property is secure, even when in the house, to protect themselves from this type of criminal.”
