Appeal after vehicle found abandoned after crash

two people were injured after a crash in Doncaster.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after officers received reports of an abandoned blue Renault Clio on Moss Road, near Fenwick Common Lane, Doncaster on Sunday.
It is believed that the Clio was driving along Moss Road, towards Moss from Askern and lost control, travelling into a drainage ditch to the nearside, before colliding with a tree, bringing the vehicle to a stop.
A 46-year-old woman from Moss, Doncaster was taken to Sheffield Hallamshire Hospital for treatment for injuries to her back and neck and 39-year-old man from Batley, West Yorkshire received lacerations to the top of his head and burn marks to his arms.
The man has been arrested and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or the manner of driving of the car before the incident, should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 104 of 6 January 2013.
