CONCERNS over levels of fly-tipping have sparked a clampdown in Adwick, Doncaster.

Worried residents are hoping that the issue may be dealt with after the Adwick Safer Neighbourhood Team agreed to set it as a priority at its latest Partners and Community Together meeting.

The problem has been raised in the Doncaster Road area, and around Burn Road, in Clayton.

Fly tipping is the illegal dumping of waste, when an individual or organisation knowingly deposits their waste onto land without permission or an appropriate licence.

Doncaster Council is now set to look at the extent of the problem in the villages and plans to investigate the reports.
