AN airline has donated £1,800 to buy trees to be planted in a lion enclosure.

Jet2, which helped Yorkshire Wildlife Park rescue 13 lions from Romania in 2010, has donated cash to plant 12 trees in the park’s 10 acre lion reserve.

Cheryl Williams, director at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, said: “The lions have settled in to life here superbly and they’re happier and healthier than ever. We’re thrilled to use the money to plant trees, which will provide extra shade and stimulation.”
