Schoolchildren grabbed some spray paint and had a go at graffiting their bike sheds as part of a school initiative.

Pupils from Brooke Primary School in Thorne spent an afternoon with graffiti artist Sarah Yates producing murals for their bike shed.

The project was organised by biking charity Sustrans using images to inspire pupils to get cycling. The charity has worked with the school since 2009 to encourage children to use their bikes to get to school.

Sustrans Bike It officer Tom Collister, said: “The school has been working hard to achieve a lasting pro-cycling culture. They have just received their Bronze Sustrans School Mark Award, so this is a great reward for all their hard work.”
