A COMMUNITY project is aiming to improve the lives of residents by helping their chances of finding employment.
The East Doncaster Development Trust, which is based in Station Road, Dunscroft, is offering unemployed people a range of advice through its Employment Support Project.
The scheme’s prime objective is getting people, including those Dunscroft and Dunsville, who face particular employment challenges ready for work by enhancing their skills and boosting their confidence and self esteem.
It gives guidance on preparing and writing a CV, job searches and finding specialised training opportunities.
Help is also given to residents who may have skills but lack the interview technique needed to land jobs.
Paul Elwis, the trust’s chief executive officer, said: “We work with individuals from Dunscroft and the surrounding areas to remove the barriers and problems which have prevented them from entering the labour market. Our aim is to make sure that no child grows up in poverty.
