A PAIR of budding performers got a taste of the limelight after treading the boards in the panto...Oh yes they did.
Isabelle Nicholl-Marshall, nine, of Ealand, and Charlotte Geddes, 12, of Crowle, were part of the Scunthorpe Sunbeams in Aladdin at the Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe over the festive season for a marathon 27 shows.
It concluded an epic year for the pair who also were named as Community Champions, with Charlotte winning the Young Arts Heritage Achiever of the Year, and Isabelle being named runner up. Isabelle’s proud mum, Katie, said: “She absolutely loved it and would love to do it every year. This has really given her a taste for performing.
“The other cast members made the girls feel really welcome. I went to watch a lot of the performances and I was so proud.”
Charlotte’s mum Sue Geddes added: “Charlotte loved taking part, both girls did so well and they are such good friends. It was nice they both got the opportunity.”
