Isle children have signed up to the North Lincolnshire Imagination Library scheme in huge numbers, according to figures released this week.

More than 700 children aged under five from 22 different Isle communities have registered for the free book gifting scheme, representing about 70 per cent of eligible children.

Youngsters who sign up to the scheme, which is part of the Dolly Parton Foundation, receive free age appropriate books in the post each month up to the age of five.
