TWO Isle jobseekers who used their musical talents to embark on a new career have launched their debut album.

Pete Sowerby and Rhiannon Scutt, both 23, met while in a dole queue as despite having degrees to their names, neither could find employment.

But the couple, who had been at South Axholme School together and had played in the school band, decided to form Rita Payne.

They launched their debut album ‘Stories from a Suitcase’ at Doncaster Ukranian Club earlier this month.

Rhiannon, of Epworth Road, Owston Ferry, said: “A huge thank you to everyone who came down to watch us.”
