Isle councillor applauds survey results

NORTH Lincolnshire Council has had a “fantastic” response to its sport, leisure and cultural survey.

Over 1,000 residents commented on how they would like local facilities to be managed and run.

Axholme North ward member, Councillor John Briggs, is the cabinet member for asset and estate management, sport, leisure and culture.

Coun Briggs said comments will help shape the future of sport, leisure and culture in the borough.

He added: “We will look at all the information provided and the findings will be reported to cabinet members. As soon as we are in a position to do so a decision on the future will be made.

“The survey explored a number of options into how the council could manage them in ways that could better meet the needs of local communities.”
