A WELL-KNOWN builder has won an industry ‘Oscar’ for his work.
Lee Dudgeon, 40, of Dudgeon Builders Ltd in Remple Lane, Hatfield Woodhouse, has scooped a prestigious Master Builder of the Year award, taking the prize for most “heavenly” builder in Yorkshire and Trent.
The well-respected awards are unique because entrants have to be nominated by a satisfied customer.
Mr Dudgeon, who lives in Thorne, said: “For many builders, to be recognised with such an award is like winning an Oscar.”
Helen Osgood, from the Federation of Master Builders, said: “The master builder of the year awards definitely gives customers the opportunity to shout about why they love their builders and thank them for their excellent work. The winning builders should feel justly proud of their achievements.
“Dudgeon Builders Ltd has done a fantastic job to win the Yorkshire and Trent region award, and we wish them well in the national competition.”
The winner of the national final in March will win a weekend break away and a free commercial vehicle of their choice.
