FLATS on a Doncaster estate are to be transformed as part of a £2 million makeover.
Scaffolding is now in place at Unity Flats in Beckett Road, Wheatley, following planning approval.
Work on the 114 flats will include new central heating, windows and doors being fitted as well as new flooring, windows and doors to the communal areas.
Coun Barbara Hoyle, cabinet member for housing, said: “This work will transform the look of the flats in Wheatley and the improvements should make the homes warmer for residents.”
St Leger Homes is carrying out the work in partnership with Wates Living Space.
