A South Yorkshire health trust is consulting people with experiences of Rotherham’s adult mental health services to help them plan for the future.

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) is holding an event on Thursday, August 27, at Swallownest Court Mental Health Unit, to involve Dearne residents in plans to transform adult mental health services across the borough.

RDaSH wants to hear your views on how the organisation should deliver it’s services, which includes a range of mental health, learning disability, drug and alcohol and community health projects across the Dearne Valley.

Alison Lancaster, locality manager for RDaSH, said: “We believe mental health is everyone’s business and would like people with direct experience of our services, along with family members and carers to come along to give us their ideas about how they’d like services to look in the future.

“Their feedback will help us shape our services going forward.”

People are invited to attend the site in Aughton Road, Aughton, between noon and 3pm.

There is free parking available and tea, coffee and soft drinks will also be provided for those attending.
