Lifestyle team St Martin’s Mates from St Martin Primary in Owston Ferry had a bucket collection at the school’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat raising over £100 for Team Verrico. Adult adviser Rebecca Mckenna said: “This is the first of many events the youngsters have arranged for summer 2016. The next event will be held on Sunday July 17 at Owston Ferry’s village fun day. Please come along and show your support.” Paul Verrico of charity Team Verrico said: “Team Verrico is a charity dedicated to helping families with young children who are facing a cancer diagnosis. Our counselling function has seen more children than adults over the last 12 months, so it is particularly warming to see a group of junior school pupils getting involved and raising money for the cause. As a volunteer charity, no-one at Team Verrico receives a salary, so the moneys raised will go directly to where they are needed most.” Pictured are Natalie Truwick, Jackson Swales, April Frogley, Ffion Francis and Brooke McKenna.
