Preparations are underway for one of the biggest events in Thorne’s calendar.
Meetings are being held on the second Tuesday of every month at the town’s Yacht Club in Lock Hill, with the next taking place from 8pm on March 8.
A spokesman for the event said: “We got good feedback last year from people who came to the festival, so why not come and help us make it even better this year.
“We are putting some new entertainment on; lets have some new ideas and some of your old popular favourites will be there.”
Organisers want to hear from people to help with helping put the event together, entertainers who want to get involved and commercial groups or charities who may want a stall.
Several thousands packed Memorial Park for the 11th Thorne Summer Festival last year which kicked off with a parade through the town - led by Gala Queen - Trinity Academy pupil Rebecca Storer.
Other attractions included non-stop activities in the bandstand and on the purpose-built stage, with music, magic, drama, gym and dance.
There were also tae kwon do displays, cheerleaders display and a dog agility display.
