Doncaster Council has netted the support of footballers to boost a fostering campaign in the borough.
Doncaster Rovers players including James Coppinger and Kyle Bennett (pictured) have been sporting T-shirts in a bid to encourage residents to consider fostering a child through the authority.
Saturday’s pre-match promotion ran alongside the official launch of the council’s new-look fostering website www.fosteringindoncaster.org
Chris Pratt, director of the Children’s and Young People Services, said: “We urgently need more foster carers and believe this new website is an excellent way of reaching people who want instant access to information 24/7.
“We are delighted that the Rovers are supporting the new website and the general recruitment campaign. If you think you could foster please get in touch with us or pop along to our event at the Keepmoat Stadium next Wednesday to find out more.”
The council is particularly interested in hearing from families for teenagers.
