Food review: Amigos Mexican Restaurant, Sheffield

London Road in Sheffield is famous for its vast array of restaurants and food outlets, where cuisine from around the globe is on offer.

On this occasion I decided to opt for Mexican food at Amigos Mexican Kitchen, and I’m glad I did.

From Mexican street food like chimichangas or tostadas to latin dishes like lamb ensopado the menu offers a whole host of mouth watering dishes from the region.

We started with corn nachos that came with jalapeno cheese sauce, sour cream and salsa which were delicious, if a little predictable.

For my main course I went for a rajas con creme gordita which is a flat bread filled with tomatoes, pepper, refried beans, salsa, jalapenos and cheese, which was truly scrumptious and had a nice spicy kick.

The restaurant doesn’t have an alcohol license, but customers are welcome to bring their own, at no extra cost which is a nice bonus. The staff were friendly and efficient, and it was a very enjoyable dining experience.
