A Doncaster firm will hold its annual charity open day in aid of a borough hospice.
Optima International, based at Toll Bar, will hold the fun day on July 26 between noon and 5pm. Attractions include a gala and fun fair.
Entry is £3 and all money raised will go to St John’s Hospice, Balby, which is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). Last year’s event raised £2,700.
Mike Spiller, of Optima International, said: “We chose the hospice to benefit from the funds raised because a colleague, who died a few years ago, received such excellent support from staff at the hospice. It is such a good cause to raise money for.”
Alison Constantine, voluntary services manager at St John’s, added: “We are so grateful to Optima International for choosing the hospice to benefit from its annual charity day. Every penny we receive goes towards supporting the patients who use our service.”
