THREE colleges have joined forces to launch a series of joint career events to help young people decide what to do with their future.
Dearne Valley College, Rotherham College of Arts and Technology and Thomas Rotherham College have organised the events, which will be taking place throughout July.
Staff from all three colleges will be available to provide information on courses, advice on which routes to take and guidance to those who just need a helping hand.
Carly Jones, Head of Marketing at Rotherham College of Arts and Technology, said: “Rotherham is a top quality provider in education and the town has three dedicated colleges which will offer something for everyone.
“Whether you’re looking for A Levels, or the more vocational hands-on route of NVQs and Diplomas, we can help.
“We have pathways into higher education, university and employment so Rotherham is bursting with opportunities to get you to your dream career.”
Councillor Paul Lakin, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families Services, added: “It’s vitally important that young people get the best possible education to prepare them for the future and Rotherham colleges do a great job to provide a wide range of courses to suit people’s learning needs.
“Rotherham needs to be ready for whatever the future economy brings and today’s students are at the forefront of making sure the borough is ready to take on those employment opportunities when they arise.”
The careers events are coming to Barnsley Town Centre on Tuesday, July 10, from 10am to 2pm, Meadowhall Shopping Centre on Friday, July 13, between 10am and 9pm and Doncaster Frenchgate Shopping Centre on Wednesday July 18, from 9am to 5.30pm.
