It was toothy smiles all round at a Doncaster primary school this week.

Pupils at Hawthorpe Primary School, in Cantley, learned how to keep clean and tidy - and were taught how to brush their teeth the correct way.

School nursing support workers from Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust taught them about health issues, ranging from taking regular baths and showers to washing hands before meals, after stroking pets and going to the toilet.

Linda Newton, RDaSH support worker, said: “We covered basic hygiene in a fun and informative way and the young people asked lots of questions and gave us lots of answers too. We had a great day with them.”
