Pupils make a boot-iful flower display

Green fingered pupils at Westwoodside CE School filled their boots and gave it some welly when they took part in a green themed gardening project.

Foundation stage youngsters aged 3-5 turned 20 pairs of their old wellies into flower pots for the unusual display of beautiful marigolds, geraniums lavender and herbs.

Teacher Helen Spowage said: “We got the idea from a school visit to the Harlow Carr garden centre in Harrogate the youngsters had a great time planting the seedlings.”
