Sporting pupils at Bentley High Street Primary were hit for six when their local MP presented them with new equipment.

Ed Miliband presented the youngsters with an Asda ‘Kwik Cricket’ set to encourage more children to take part in the supermarket’s cricket competition.

Mr Miliband, who represents Doncaster North, said: “Kwik Cricket is a great way for young people to get active and have fun. It’s a really inclusive game, everyone can get involved and it’s very easy to play.

“I’m sure the pupils at Bentley High Street Primary will make great use of this kit.”
