A Doncaster model is aiming for the top after scoring a double success in the world of modelling.

Teenager Daisy Ward, 18, has set her sights on becoming one of the world’s leading beauty queens after landing two separate UK and European modelling crowns within the space of a few days.

The Armthorpe model was named Fitness Model British Champion for the second time in two years at a glittering ceremony in London and then followed it up a few days later when she secured the Fitness Model Paris 2015 title.

She said: “It feels amazing. To win last year was brilliant but to win again and then win another title shortly afterwards is incredible.

“I have put in so much work, practising, having a very strict diet and looking after myself but it has all been worth it.”

Daisy, currently studying business at college, added: “The judges said I won by a mile - the result was an absolute landslide.”

She saw off the challenge of more than 200 other competitors at the European event and is now hoping to go to Las Vegas in the hope of landing the Fitness Model America crown.

She said: “I came third in 2014 and now I’d like to go back and win it. I’ve only been doing modelling a short while so the success has been amazing.”

Daisy, whose dad Paul was a professional footballer for Leyton Orient, said: “Coming from that background, I’ve always had an interest in fitness.

“These competitions allow me to mix fitness and modelling together at the same time. It has been tough, but it has all been worth it.”

She is now hoping to go to the very top in the world of modelling and is also hoping to set up her own agency to help other Doncaster girls follow in her footsteps.

“That’s something I’d like to do in the next few years,” she added. “I want to help others achieve what I have.”
