Leeds Building Society has raised £950 for the 2014 Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal.
The Doncaster branch of the Society has played a role in this by accepting donations for the daffodils from members of the public in the branch, at Frenchgate. The appeal took place across all the Society’s 65 branches in the UK.
Money raised from the Great Daffodil Appeal helps Marie Curie provide more free nursing care to people with all terminal illnesses in their own homes and in the charity’s hospices.
Melissa Foulis, Leeds Building Society Doncaster Branch Manager said, “We are delighted that we have been able to contribute to the overall fundraising effort from the Society, at the Doncaster Branch, by accepting donations from members of the public for the Daffodils.
“People have been very generous this year, and our staff in the branch also got into the spirit throughout the campaign.”
Liz Howlett, Marie Curie Cancer Care Fundraising Manager said, “We are delighted that Leeds Building Society has supported us in Doncaster again this year. Our 2014 Great Daffodil Appeal has enabled us to continue to care for people with all terminal illnesses in their own homes and in our hospices, and we are grateful for the support of Leeds Building Society’s staff and customers.”
