Generous Doncaster residents have been showing that charity really does begin at home by providing free meals to the town’s homeless.

Greenpath International (GPI) volunteers went along to help out at one of the twice weekly Helping The Homeless events where melas are dished out the area’s needy.

GPI is an independent, humanitarian, non-sectarian, non profit-making and non-governmental organisation, with the main aim of working towards promoting the health and well-being of the underprivileged people and the communities around the world.

Other events have included working with schoolchildren in India, running health programmes for the Nepalese community in Doncaster and donating clothes and money to the recent earthquake victims in Nepal.
