Beer lovers will be on to a real winner at this year’s St Leger Festival.
Doncaster Brewery is hoping to be first past the winning post with tipplers, with a whole host of events timed to coincide with the world’s oldest classic horse race.
The brewery will be officially marking its move into new premises in Young Street, after setting up in business several years ago in Clay Lane West.
Organisers will unveil the new bar and brewery from noon on Saturday – with Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton invited along to do the honours.
On Sunday at the Birthday of the Brewery event and brew day visitors will be able to sample a traditional pint of real ale between 11am and 4pm.
On Monday, the premises will be hosting a brewery tour, priced at £10 per head, when drinkers will be able to meet the brewer and sample ales. Tours will start at noon, 3pm and 6pm.
On Tuesday there will be a blind ale tasting evening from 7pm, priced £12, from Wednesday to Sunday there will be a beer festival, and on September 14 there will be another brew day.
