DISABLED people in Thorne and district are being invited to take advantage of a workshop offering a helping hand with the digital switchover.
South Yorkshire Centre for Inclusive Living is offering the event covering topical subjects - the digital switchover and personal budgets - in a bid to simplify the process.
Disabled people, carers, and family members who would like support understanding the forthcoming TV switchover, or who wish to find out more about budgeting, can attend the event on Tuesday.
The event will take place between 10.30am and 2pm at SYCIL’s accessible main office based on the M&M business Park in Doncaster Road, Kirk Sandall. It is opposite to The Hollybush pub.
Chief executive Maddie O’Sullivan said: “Many people are still confused about the digital switchover and we aim to give simplified explanations of what they need to do to help them to be confident when making their own arrangements for the switch.” The digital switchover will start being rolled out across Yorkshire from August.
