Crowle councillors discuss jubilee

CROWLE and Ealand Town Council has applied to have a lighted beacon to mark the Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations later this year.

Members discussed the issue at this month’s regular meeting with several potential sites for a beacon being put forward, including Tip Road and Seven Lake Country Park.

Councillor Trevor Barker - who is also one of the Axholme North ward members on North Lincolnshire Council - said he would make enquiries concerning potential sites.

The diamond jubilee celebrations are expected to be marked over a four day bank holiday period from June 2 to 5.
