Woman threatened in raid at home

A WOMAN was threatened with a knife by thieves who raided her home in Hexthorpe, Doncaster.

Three men got into the 28-year-old’s home on Abbott Street, Hexthorpe, in broad daylight, and confronted her.

Police said the woman was threatened at knifepoint by one man, while the remaining two thugs stole cash and jewellery from the property on Thursday, September 8, at 10.30am.

PC Billy Mclean, who is investigating, said: “We believe this to be a targeted attack and that the men may have been watching the house.

“Fortunately the woman was not injured but she was extremely shaken.

“I would urge anyone with information to please come forward.”

The men were described as all being white and aged in their mid to early 20s. They were around 5ft 7ins to 6ft tall and all were of slim build.

All three were wearing dark coloured hooded tops, pulled up to cover the lower half of their faces.

The man who held the woman at knifepoint had white writing at the bottom of his hooded top and wore black Nike tracksuit bottoms. Witnesses should call 0114 220 2020 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident 318 of September 8.
