A police spokesman has today confirmed that a suspect arrested on suspicion of murder remains on bail, in connection with the death of a 24-year-old teacher who was found dead at his home hours after he was allegedly assaulted in a Doncaster town centre bar.

Lewis Siddall, aged 24, was found dead at the home he shared with his parents in Skellow at around 6.10am on Friday, August 14 last year.

Mr Siddal, who taught at Copley Junior School, had allegedly been assaulted at the VDKA bar in Silver Street at around 11 o’clock the night before.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on August 15, and was subsequently released on bail pending further enquiries.

Commenting on the investigation, a police spokesman told The Free Press: "There are no charges in relation to this investigation yet, the suspect remains on bail and enquiries continue."
