Teen in court over Swinton school raid

A teenager has appeared before magistrates charged with stealing computing equipment from a primary school in Swinton.

Michael Eccles, 18, is charged with one count of burglary in relation to laptop computers and iPads that were taken from Queen Primary School in Queen Street over the last the weekend.

Eccles, of St John’s Road, Swinton, made no plea during the court appearance in Rotherham on Thursday and was bailed.

He will next appear at Rotherham Magistrates Court on Thursday, November 14.
