A CONVICTED sex offender has had his birthday wish for a night out rejected by magistrates.

Christopher McRobert wanted his punishment for failing to tell the police he had moved house postponed so he could go out for his birthday.

However, this was rejected by magistrates who ordered him to remain at his home in Rainton Road, Hyde Park, between 7pm and 6am daily for eight weeks.

Rainton, 22, pleaded guilty to breaching the Sexual Offences Act for the February 7 offence.
