Masked robbers raid Stainforth convenience store

A group of three masked men have robbed a convenience store in Stainforth.

Officers have today released an efit of a man believed to be driving a car near the scene of the robbery.

The robbery took place at a convenience store in Thorne Road, where officers believe three men wearing masks entered the store, threatened staff and emptied the tills.

The three men are then thought to have left the store and got into a black MK1 Ford Focus which officers believe was being driven by a fourth man.

The boot of the car had been left open and rear registration plate was missing.

The driver is described as white, aged in his 20s or 30s. He was approx 6ft 2ins tall of slim build.

He had short black hair, which was shaved at the sides and a moustache. He was wearing a grey Adidas baseball cap, which had three blue stripes from crown to peak, a vest top and light coloured trousers.

Police are appealing for anyone with information on this incident, which took place on September 27, to come forward.
