A man in his 40s has been hospitalised with head injuries, after a disturbance outside a Doncaster pub involving 10 ‘opposing football fans’.
The incident took place at around 1.15pm on Saturday, August 8, when police were called to reports of a disturbance near to the Tut ‘n’ Shive public house on West Laith Gate, Doncaster.
Around 10 people, who are thought to have been opposing football fans, were involved in the disturbance which led to a man in his 40s sustaining a head injury that required hospital treatment.
The brawl occurred prior to Doncaster Rovers playing Bury at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the first match of the season.
A South Yorkshire police spokesman told The Free Press: “At this stage no arrests have been made and police are keen to speak to any witnesses.
They continued: “Anyone with information is asked to contact police via: 101 and quoting crime number 598 from the 8 August.”
