Man sustains face injuries after attack outside pub

A 26-year-old man sustained facial injuries after being attacked outside a Doncaster pub.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding.

He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “At 2.45am police received reports that a 26-year-old man had been punched on Priory Walk in Doncaster.

“The man suffered minor facial injuries.”

Shoppers contacted The Star to report seeing a blood- stained pavement after the incident. One shopper, who did not want to be named, said: “There was so much blood, it was terrible.”

The incident happened at around 2.45am on Sunday outside Walkabout in Priory Walk.
