CCTV cameras could be in place in Epworth once the go-ahead is given for the positioning of two masts on which they will sit.
The cameras will be positioned to give coverage of shops and amenities in Epworth High Street and in Market Place.
The Bells launched its Protect Our Town campaign earlier this year following a spate of break-ins in the town.
North Lincolnshire Council leader Liz Redfern said: “We need to put two masts up and we need permission from the church and Severn Trent Water to be able to do that.
“One camera will go on top of St Andrew’s Church and the other on top of the water tower.
“Once we have that then we should be able to go ahead with the scheme and install the cameras.” As reported, the scheme was finalised following a meeting with Coun Redfern, Isle MP Andrew Percy and Epworth traders in June.
Coun Redfern confirmed £13,000 of funding from North Lincolnshire Council is in place to fund the scheme.
