THE following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with the following offences.

WHEATLEY: Patrick William McGowan was fined £220 for damaging windows. The 46-year-old, of Broxholme Lane, admitted the October 31 offence and was ordered to pay the cash compensation to Doncaster Property Services , which is based in Spinney Hill, Sprotbrough.

BALBY: A 31-year-old received a nine-month drugs rehabilitation programme punishment after pleading guilty to stealing vodka. Lee Donald Dunn, of Balby Road, was caught taking the £13.99 bottle of alcohol from Marks and Spencer supermarket on October 17. Dunn would also be supervised for 18 months.

ARMTHORPE: Having Class B drugs on him has landed a 23-year-old in trouble. Kristofer O’Halloran, of Holly Dene, was caught with cannabis on September 28. O’Halloran was fined £150 and ordered to pay £100 in costs after pleading guilty.

BENTLEY: Shoplifter Russell Nigel Riley pleaded guilty to stealing three air freshners. The 32-year-old of Askern Road, committed the Tesco theft on October 30. He was also given a six-week curfew to stay at Askern Road between 8.30pm and 7am and ordered to pay £85 costs.

THORNE: A four-week jail term has been suspended for six months for a thief. Gavin Paul Platts, 32, of Miller Close, admitted stealing Disaronno alcohol from Sainsbury’s town store, in King Street, on November 13. He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs.
